Priest Garden
The Priest Garden in Hidegség is a real paradise where eyes may rest and bodies and souls may be
recharged. A new terracotta brick-covered path leads wanderers into the garden of natural waters
where paths are often overarched by wooden bridges. The garden has very special flora, it is worth
visiting any season. The signs surrounding the walking paths show biblical quotes and other spiritual
symbols which may be used for meditation purposes. In the barefoot promenade there are different
fields with various coverings for us to walk on. In the middle of the path there is a free-flow, fresh
spring water-fed Kneipp footwashing frame lined with river gravel. This is a sacral and meditative
location.
The park was renewed in the spring of 2020 thanks to the “Gems of the Fertő Region” project.
